The workshop will be held the afternoon of Thursday, June 5th and the full day on Friday, June 6th, EDT (location details).
The workshop is focused on developing CHIMERAS (Collisionless HIgh-beta Magnetized Experiment Researching Astrophysical Systems), a Next Generation Laboratory Facility to isolate, control, and diagnose plasma processes in magnetized, collisionless, high-beta environments. Read more about the idea on the goals page.
The workshop is being organized by the MagNetUS CHIMERAS Ad-hoc Working Group and will directly follow the 2025 MagNetUS meeting. Financial support for the workshop is provided by a grant from the Heising-Simons Foundation.
