I going to review recent progress in calculating quarkonium correlators and spectral functions at finite temperature
using isotropic and anisotropic quenched lattices.
I will also discuss the possibility of extracting heavy
quark diffusion constant from the lattice calculations
of charmonium correlators as well as phenomenological models,
e.g. potential models for quarkonium correlators
