In this talk I will discuss the spectral functions and the correlators of the different quarkonium states in the context of survival of the heavy quark bound states above deconfinement. I will discuss the results as obtained on the
lattice and contrast these with results from potential model calculations. While
qualitative features of the spectral functions, like the survival of the J/psi above
Tc, can be reproduced by potential models, the temperature dependence of the correlators are found to be inconsistent with the lattice results.
