Workshop on High Average Power & High Brightness Beams
November 8 - 10, 2004

To address the growing interest in, and demand for high average power, high brightness beams, we intend to hold a small, focused workshop. The meeting will give an opportunity for the various groups working on and groups interest in this topic to meet, define the problems, and work on solutions.

The workshop agenda will feature a limited number of talks, allowing ample time for interaction and work. Attendees will be encouraged to bring laptops, simulations and spreadsheets. Local computing resources will also be available.

Scientists interested in attending or participating in the organizing committee are encouraged to contact Gil Travish. Parties interested in providing support are even more encouraged.

General Topics:

  • Challenges in production and acceleration
    • Sources
    • Lasers
    • Support systems: RF, cooling, diagnostics
    • Structures
  • Physics problems
